While our initial information about Globe came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Globe in various books and other sources.

Globe is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>
From that list:
The Globe post office opened in 1904 and had closed by 1929.
