Time Zone: Wahkiakum County lies in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time.

The community of Cathlamet is the Seat for Wahkiakum County.

Wahkiakum County was founded in 1854 and was created by taking area from Cowlitz County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Wahkiakum had a population of 4,420 people. This is an increase of 11.11% since the last Census (which gave a population of 3,978 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Wahkiakum represented 0.06% of the total population of Washington.
