So far, we found very little information about Yadkin. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Yadkin to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Yadkin - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Yadkin, please Contact Us.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Yadkin, you might consider that their post office opened in 1904.
Time Zone: The area where Yadkin was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time
Communities Also Named Yadkin ...
Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Virginia communities named Yadkin: This one is located in and the other is located in Chesapeake City.
Beyond Virginia, there are 3 communities that are also named Yadkin - they are located in Arkansas and North Carolina.

Adding Yadkin to Our Gazetteer ...
The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Yadkin was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<2>
From that list, the Yadkin post office opened in 1904.
We also found Yadkin on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Virginia (1911).
