While we don't have a date for the founding of The Plains, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, The Plains had an population of 236 people. This is an increase of 8.76% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 11.28% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, The Plains had a population of 217 people. This makes The Plains the county's 3rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 217 people, the population of The Plains decreased 18.42% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 266 people).
