The Commemorative Quarter for Virginia

Do you know of Burts ???

This page is an orphan - a placeholder until we can discover more about Burts. When we encounter a name that is new to us, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope that we'll discover more information in the future. Such is the case with Burts.<1>

Our sources for Burts (see Mentions and References below) indicate that it was a community with a post office by the same name. Unfortunately our sources aren't clear about the location of Burts other than they indicate that Burts would be found somewhere in Sussex County, Virginia.

From the Blevins / Hellbock List: The post office opened  in 1886 and closed  in 1914.

Communities Also Named Burts ...

We found two communities that share the name Burts.

There is one other community in Virginia which is also named Burts.

Beyond Virginia, there is another community also named Burts in the United States.
