Welcome to Bracket ...

So far, we found very little information about Bracket. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Bracket to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Bracket - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Bracket, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Bracket , we believe that it would have been located within present day Hanover County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Bracket, you might consider that their post office opened in 1901.

Time Zone: The area where Bracket was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Bracket was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Bracket post office opened in 1901.

We also found Bracket on a map titled Rand McNally Map (1911).
