Welcome to Boggs ...

So far, we found very little information about Boggs. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Boggs to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Boggs - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Boggs, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Boggs , we believe that it would have been located within present day Accomack County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Boggs, you might consider that their post office opened in 1894.

Time Zone: The area where Boggs was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 5 communities that are also named Boggs - they are located in Connecticut, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and West Virginia.

Adding Boggs to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Boggs was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Boggs post office opened in 1894.

We also found Boggs on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Virginia (1911).
