The Commemorative Quarter for Virginia

Do you know of Alum Springs ???

When we encounter a name that is new to us, we add it to our Gazetteer - that's the case with Alum Springs.

This entry has been created as a placeholder - we hope to develop more information in the future.

This entry could be in error. It might be that our source had a mis-print, was simply wrong or we made a transcription error while referencing it. We hope to learn more about Alum Springs in the future.

We found mention of Alum Springs as a post office, but can't determine its location - other than being located somewhere in Rockbridge County, Virginia.

It's common that the post office is named the same as the community in which it's located (although that's not always case). In this case, we can't match this post office to any of the existing communities in our gazetteer.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Alum Springs, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1842.

Communities Also Named Alum Springs ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Virginia communities named Alum Springs: This one is located in Rockbridge County and the other is located in Pulaski County.

Beyond Virginia, there are 3 communities that are also named Alum Springs - they are located in Kentucky and West Virginia.
