Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Accomac had an population of 484 people. This is a decrease of 6.74% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 11.52% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Accomac had a population of 519 people. This makes Accomac the county's 6th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 519 people, the population of Accomac decreased 5.12% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 547 people).
