While our initial information about Static came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Static in various books and other sources.
We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about Static. We hope that they will be useful to you.
Note: When we started collecting data about Static, we were inconsistent about keeping track of where that data came from. As a result, this list of references and mentions is probably incomplete.
Static is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>
From that list:
The Static post office opened in 1928 and had closed by 1966.
