From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Ivy Mills was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Ivy Mills post office opened in 1870.

We also found Ivy Mills on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Tennessee (1888).
