Time Zone: Sevier County lies in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time.

The community of Sevierville is the Seat for Sevier County.

Sevier County was founded in 1794 and was created by taking area from Jefferson County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Sevier had a population of 98,402 people. This is an increase of 9.47% since the last Census (which gave a population of 89,889 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Sevier represented 1.42% of the total population of Tennessee.
