Time Zone: Perry County lies in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time.

The community of Linden is the Seat for Perry County.

Perry County was founded in 1819. Perry was created by taking area from Humphreys and Hickman Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Perry had a population of 8,084 people. This is an increase of 2.14% since the last Census (which gave a population of 7,915 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Perry represented 0.12% of the total population of Tennessee.
