Time Zone: Hamblen County lies in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time.

The community of Morristown is the Seat for Hamblen County.

Hamblen County was founded in 1870. Hamblen was created by taking area from Jefferson, Grainger and Greene Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Hamblen had a population of 64,873 people. This is an increase of 3.72% since the last Census (which gave a population of 62,544 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Hamblen represented 0.99% of the total population of Tennessee.
