Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Atoka had an population of 9,517 people. This is an increase of 13.47% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 194.19% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Atoka had a population of 8,387 people (or 13.73% of the total population of Tipton County). This makes Atoka the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Atoka represents 0.13% of the population of Tennessee (which has 6,346,105 people), making it the state's 64th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 8,387 people, the population of Atoka increased 159.26% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 3,235 people).
