Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Wallace had an population of 87 people. This is an increase of 2.35% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 1.16% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Wallace had a population of 85 people. This makes Wallace the county's 6th most populous community.

The population of Wallace represents 0.01% of the total population of South Dakota (which has 814,180 people), making it the state's 319th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 85 people, the population of Wallace decreased 1.16% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 86 people).
