Do you know of Brule ???This page is an orphan - a placeholder until we can discover more about Brule. When we encounter a name that is new to us, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope that we'll discover more information in the future. Such is the case with Brule.<1> Our sources for Brule (see Mentions and References below) indicate that it was a community with a post office by the same name. Unfortunately our sources aren't clear about the location of Brule other than they indicate that Brule would be found somewhere in Union County, South Dakota. From the Blevins / Hellbock List: The post office opened in 1886 and closed in 1891. Communities Also Named Brule ...We found eight communities that share the name Brule. Within South Dakota, the name Brule is unique. Beyond South Dakota, we know of another eight communities that are located throughout in the United States and Canada. Of these eight communities, five are located in the United States and three are in Canada.
