At the time of the 2010 Census, Armour had a population of 699 people (or 23.28% of the total population of Douglas County). This makes Armour the county's most populous community.

The population of Armour represents 0.09% of the population of South Dakota (which has 814,180 people), making it the state's 119th most populous community.
