Wyoming County was founded April 4, 1842 and was created by taking area from Luzerne County. From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Wyoming had a population of 26,794 people. This is a decrease of 5.12% since the last Census (which gave a population of 28,241 people in 2010).
