Lebanon County was founded February 16, 1819. Lebanon was created by taking area from Dauphin and Lancaster Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Lebanon had a population of 141,793 people. This is an increase of 6.08% since the last Census (which gave a population of 133,664 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Lebanon represented 1.05% of the total population of Pennsylvania.
