Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Sugden had an population of 41 people. This is a decrease of 4.65% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 30.51% since the 2000 Census).
At the time of the 2010 Census, Sugden had a population of 43 people. This makes Sugden the county's 8th most populous community.
With a 2010 count of 43 people, the population of Sugden decreased 27.12% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 59 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Sugden was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>
From that list, the Sugden post office opened in 1893.
We also found Sugden on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Oklahoma (1911).
