While we don't have a date for the founding of Sentinel, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1911.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Sentinel has a population of 847 people<2> (see below for details).

Sentinel is 1,660 feet [506 m] above sea level.<3>.

Time Zone: Sentinel lies in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Population Details ...

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Sentinel had an population of 847 people. This is a decrease of 5.99% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 1.4% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Sentinel had a population of 901 people (which is 7.75% of the total population of Washita County). This makes Sentinel the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Sentinel represents 0.02% of the total population of Oklahoma (which has 3,751,351 people), making it the state's 237th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 901 people, the population of Sentinel increased 4.89% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 859 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Sentinel was on a map titled Map of Oklahoma (from Rand McNally, 1911).

We also found Sentinel on a map titled George#&160;F. Cram Map (1922).
