While we don't have a date for the founding of Mangum, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Mangum had an population of 2,690 people. This is a decrease of 10.63% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 8% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Mangum had a population of 3,010 people (which is 48.24% of the total population of Greer County). This makes Mangum the county's most populous community.

The population of Mangum represents 0.08% of the total population of Oklahoma (which has 3,751,351 people), making it the state's 111st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 3,010 people, the population of Mangum increased 2.94% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 2,924 people).
