From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Amber was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<9>

From that list, the Amber post office opened in 1903.

We also found Amber on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Oklahoma (1911).
