At the time of the 2010 Census, Urbana had a population of 11,793 people (which is 29.43% of the total population of Champaign County). This makes Urbana the county's most populous community.

The population of Urbana represents 0.1% of the total population of Ohio (which has 11,536,504 people), making it the state's 151st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 11,793 people, the population of Urbana increased 1.55% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 11,613 people).

In other words, it's how the residents of Urbana refer to themselves. It's important to note that there aren't any rules for taking a city's name and turning it into a demonym.
