Welcome to Tunnel Hill ...

So far, we found very little information about Tunnel Hill. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Tunnel Hill , we believe that it would have been located within present day Jefferson County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Tunnel Hill, you might consider that their post office opened in 1831.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Tunnel Hill was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Tunnel Hill post office opened in 1831.
