So far, we found very little information about Sugar Ridge. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Sugar Ridge , we believe that it would have been located within present day Putnam County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Sugar Ridge, you might consider that their post office opened in 1854.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Sugar Ridge was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Sugar Ridge post office opened in 1854.
