Welcome to Rome ...So far, we found very little information about Rome. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Rome to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Rome , we believe that it would have been located within present day Stark County<2>. When the people of Rome referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Roman<3> Time Zone: The area where Rome was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time The Area Codes where Rome was located: 330 & 234<4> Communities Also Named Rome ...While we believe that this Rome is located in Stark County, we know of another 7 Ohio communities named Rome. Those communities are located in the following counties: Adams, Ashtabula, Delaware, Franklin, Lawrence, Morrow and Richland County.
