The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Phoenix to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Phoenix , we believe that it would have been located within present day Ashtabula County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Phoenix, you might consider that their post office opened in 1862. When the people of Phoenix referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Phoenician<3> Time Zone: The area where Phoenix was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time Phoenix would have been located in the (440) area code.
