Holly would have been located within present day Tuscarawas County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Holly, you might consider that their post office opened in 1892.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Holly is 1,050 feet [320 m] above sea level.<3>.

Time Zone: The area where Holly was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

We originally found mention of Holly in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found (so far) for Holly was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Holly post office opened in 1892. The Holly post office closed in 1901.
