Welcome to Flagdale ...

So far, we found very little information about Flagdale. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Flagdale to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Flagdale - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Flagdale, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Flagdale , we believe that it would have been located within present day Fairfield County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Flagdale, you might consider that their post office opened in 1887.

Time Zone: The area where Flagdale was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

We originally found mention of Flagdale in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Flagdale was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Flagdale post office opened in 1887.

We also found Flagdale in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
