Welcome to Fayette ...

So far, we found very little information about Fayette. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Fayette to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Fayette - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Fayette, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Fayette , we believe that it would have been located within present day Fayette County<2>.

The pronunciation of Fayette: fay-EHT<3>

While we don't have a date for the founding of Fayette, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

Time Zone: The area where Fayette was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

The location where Fayette once stood is in the (740) area code.

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Ohio communities named Fayette: This one is located in Fayette County and the other is located in Fulton County.
