Welcome to Fargo ...So far, we found very little information about Fargo. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Fargo to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Fargo - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Fargo, please Contact Us. While we don't have the exact location of Fargo , we believe that it would have been located within present day Ashtabula County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Fargo, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895. When the people of Fargo referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Fargoan<3> Time Zone: The area where Fargo was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time If Fargo still existed, it would have been in the (440) area code. Communities Also Named Fargo ...Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Ohio communities named Fargo: This one is located in Ashtabula County and the other is located in Morrow County. Beyond Ohio, there are 19 communities that are also named Fargo - they are located in Arkansas, California, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana (2), Kansas (2), Michigan, Missouri, New York (2), North Dakota, Oklahoma, Ontario, Oregon, Texas and Wisconsin.
