At the time of the 2010 Census, Clyde had a population of 6,325 people (or 10.38% of the total population of Sandusky County). This makes Clyde the county's 3rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 6,325 people, the population of Clyde increased 4.3% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 6,064 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Clyde was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Clyde post office opened in 1852.
