Welcome to Beta ...

So far, we found very little information about Beta. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Beta to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Beta - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Beta, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Beta , we believe that it would have been located within present day Fulton County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Beta, you might consider that their post office opened in 1857.

Time Zone: The area where Beta was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Beta was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

X2X - From that list, the Beta post office opened in 1857.

We also found Beta in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).

<3>	When there's a risk of an area code running out of phone numbers, an 'Overlay Area Code' is created that has the same geographic boundaries as the existing area code.
