How Far From Washington Square Village to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers & Almanacs that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Washington Square Village to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers, the straight-line distance<3> beginning in Washington Square Village and extending to:
- New York, which is the Seat of New York County, lies just to the South Southeast.
- Albany, which is the State Capital of New York, lies 133 miles [214 km]<3> to the north (N). If you could drive a straight line from Washington Square Village to Albany, with an average speed<4>of 63 miles [101.4 km] per hour, it would take less than three hours to make the trip.
