From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Middleville was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Middleville post office opened in 1820.

We also found Middleville in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
