From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Crown Point was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Crown Point post office opened in 1802.

We also found Crown Point in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (1803).
