The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Washington to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Washington , we believe that it would have been located within present day Esmeralda County<2>. While we don't have a date for the founding of Washington, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1883. Time Zone: The area where Washington was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time Communities Also Named Washington ...While we believe that this Washington is located in Esmeralda County, we know of another 2 Nevada communities named Washington. Those communities are located in the following counties: Nye and Washoe County.
