How Far From Spring City to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers, Almanacs & Directories that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Spring City to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers and using the location of where the historic<5> community of Spring City once stood, the straight-line distance beginning in Spring City and extending to:
- Winnemucca, which is the Seat of Humboldt County, lies 44 miles [70.8 km]<2> to the south southwest. If you could walk a straight line from Spring City to Winnemucca, with an average speed<6> of 2.2 miles [3.5 km] per hour, it would take about three full days to make the trip.
