Welcome to Morgan ...

So far, we found very little information about Morgan. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Morgan to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Morgan - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Morgan, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Morgan , we believe that it would have been located within present day Lander County<2>.

Morgan was founded in 1881.

Time Zone: The area where Morgan was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Nevada communities named Morgan: This one is located in Lander County and the other is located in Ormsby County.

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Morgan was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Morgan post office opened in 1881.
