How Far From Mill Gulch to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Mill Gulch to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers and using the location of where the historic<4> community of Mill Gulch once stood, the straight-line distance<5> beginning in Mill Gulch and extending to:
- Battle Mountain, which is the Seat of Lander County, lies 26 miles [41.8 km]<5> to the north northwest. If you could walk a straight line from Mill Gulch to Battle Mountain, with an average speed<6> of 2.2 miles [3.5 km] per hour, it would take just about two full days to make the trip.
