Welcome to Mead Lake ...

So far, we found very little information about Mead Lake. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Mead Lake to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Mead Lake - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Mead Lake, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Mead Lake , we believe that it would have been located within present day Clark County<2>.

Mead Lake was founded in 1939.

We originally found mention of Mead Lake in the FIPS-55 file. For more information, see the Referenced FIPS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Mead Lake was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Mead Lake post office opened in 1939.

We also found Mead Lake in the book titled SPV's Comprehensive Railroad Atlas of North America - California & Nevada.
