While we don't have the exact location of Mason Valley , we believe that it would have been located within present day Lyon County<2>.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Mason Valley was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Mason Valley post office opened in 1871.

We also found Mason Valley in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
