Welcome to Kawich ...

So far, we found very little information about Kawich. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Kawich to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Kawich - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Kawich, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Kawich , we believe that it would have been located within present day Nye County<2>.

Kawich was founded in 1904.

Time Zone: The area where Kawich was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

Adding Kawich to Our Gazetteer ...

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Kawich was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Kawich post office opened in 1905.
