Welcome to Egan Canyon ...

So far, we found very little information about Egan Canyon. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Egan Canyon to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Egan Canyon , we believe that it would have been located within present day White Pine County<2>.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Egan Canyon was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Egan Canyon post office opened in 1865.
