Welcome to Comet ...

So far, we found very little information about Comet. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Comet to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Comet - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Comet, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Comet , we believe that it would have been located within present day Lincoln County<2>.

Time Zone: The area where Comet was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 10 communities that are also named Comet - they are located in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio (2), Ontario, Texas and Virginia.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Comet was mentioned on a train schedule titled Union Pacific Railroad Time Tables (September 1924).

We also found Comet in the book titled SPV's Comprehensive Railroad Atlas of North America - California & Nevada.
