While we don't have the exact location of Camp McDermitt , we believe that it would have been located within present day Humboldt County<2>.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Camp McDermitt was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Camp McDermitt post office opened in 1866.
