So far, we found very little information about Borax. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Borax would have been located within present day Clark County<2>.
The location of Borax has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>
While the community is gone, the present day location for Borax is 2,700 feet [823 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Borax is about ½ mile above sea level.
Time Zone: The area where Borax was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time
Note: If you travel east from Borax, you will leave Pacific Time and cross into the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST). In addition, you will be moving from an area that observes daylight saving time to one that does not.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Borax was mentioned on a train schedule titled Union Pacific Railroad Time Tables (September 1924).
