The origin (or the toponymy) of Argenta: From the Latin word for silver: 'argentum'. While the community is gone, the present day location for Argenta is 4,590 feet [1,399 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Argenta is about ¾ mile [or ~1½ km] above sea level.
